The Bank of Ghana will play a key role in facilitating payments across the country through the Solana blockchain. By partnering with Solanafrica, it will enable fast, secure, and fee-free transactions for Ghanaian citizens and everyone in Africa. The bank's involvement will help streamline digital payments and promote financial inclusion, making it easier for people to access and use digital financial services.
The Solanafrica memecoin is a new digital token launched as part of the Solanafrica project. It aims to drive adoption of blockchain technology across Africa by creating a fun and engaging way for people to get involved in the digital economy. The memecoin will be used to support free transactions and promote financial inclusion throughout the continent.
The Solanafrica team controls 20% of the total supply, to be unlocked gradually over 12 months in a linear manner. Additionally, 10% is reserved for marketing and key opinion leaders (KOLs), while another 5% will be allocated to cover long-term SOL fees.
